A new edible oil factory was launched by Unison Corporate in Bahir Dar yesterday. The plant which uses soybeans, wool, sesame, nuggets, nuts and other oilseeds to produce 30,000 liters of oil per day cost Birr 1.5 billion to be completed. It is hoped that the factory will play its part in reducing the edible oil supply shortage.The factory’s construction and machinery installation were done by Ethiopians. It has now created job opportunities for 100 permanent and 80 temporary employees.
