Governor Buni, while reacting to the ranking of Yobe state as the 9th in the ease of doing business in Nigeria, said “for us to achieve this feat after the protracted security challenge, spurs our government to do more.“This shows that Yobe state is moving fast and becoming a very business-friendly state.”He explained that with the improvement in security and introduction of incentives by the state government, Yobe is committed to becoming a leading state in trade, commerce, and business.“We have completed and commissioned the international cargo airport to facilitate local and international trade and movements within and outside the country. “Our administration has constructed modern markets with fireproof facilities to facilitate and support the business community,” he said. He stated that his administration has been reaching out to the international community to explore and exploit the potentials in production and processing of sesame seeds, gum Arabic, and livestock.“Government will improve all areas of collaboration for effective and efficient engagements to promote business activities in the state.“I want to assure you that government will continue to provide infrastructure to make Yobe State a business hub linking the North with other countries in production and processing of Sesame seeds, Gum Arabic, and livestock,” Buni said.
