The Asian country, a major global importer of the product, accounts for 38.4% of the world's consumption of the seed. The information was released today (4) by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) . According to the ministry, the authorization demonstrates the potential as a strategic market for Brazilian agribusiness. “The conquest of this market took place at the end of 2024, during a visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping to Brazil, however, the release of exporting companies was only made official last week, in a normal process of company accreditation”, published Mapa.
