  • 162 tons of sesame seeds were blocked at the St. Petersburg seaport

    The product documentation lacked necessary information Experts from the Northwestern Interregional Office of Rosselkhoznadzor (Rosselkhoznadzor) have recorded a violation in the import of sesame seeds from India. Four batches of the product failed the inspection, the office's press service reported. Inspectors found non-compliance with Customs Union regulations: the sesame documentation did not include laboratory testing data for henbane seed and radionuclide content. Due to the identified violation and in accordance with Russian legislation, the import of 162 tons of sesame was prohibited.
