Tainan Jiali's premium agricultural product, "Traceable Sesame Oil," has obtained a traceability verification certificate from the Jiali District Farmers' Association, making it the first farmers' association in the country to include sesame oil processed products in the traceability verification system. This sets a new benchmark for safe traceability of edible oils in Taiwan. To promote local high-quality agricultural products and enhance public awareness of local agriculture, the Tainan City Government Agriculture Bureau and the Jiali District Farmers' Association jointly held a traceable sesame oil promotion event today (May 13) at the Jiali District Farmers' Association's Gan Cui Fresh Supermarket. In addition to showcasing traceable sesame oil and sesame-related products, the event also included tasting experiences of sesame oil chicken soup and sesame shumai, attracting many enthusiastic participants. Agriculture Bureau Director Li Fanglin pointed out that Tainan City is the largest sesame producing area in Taiwan, with a planting area of approximately 1,215 hectares, of which Jiali District accounts for about 112 hectares. It is one of the important sesame producing areas in the country. The Jiali District Farmers' Association has long been assisting farmers in promoting sesame contract farming, stabilizing the production and sales system, and continuously improving processing technology and product development. It is gradually building a complete industrial chain from the place of origin to the table.
